Mom, Andrea, Chuck and I visited the "Woodstock" museum located near Bethel, New York which bills itself as a celebration of the sixties and Woodstock. The museum consists of lots of video and music from the event as well as, history about the time period. I liked the personal stories people had recorded about their own experiences, along with their current photos. The couple below became one of the symbols of Woodstock since this picture was used on the cover of "Woodstock--The Movie". In their current picture, they look like your average upper middle class, over-weight, wrinkled professional couple. I couldn't help but notice their son was wearing a "Harvard" sweatshirt. So much for sticking it to the man....
Famous photo from the 1969 Woodstock Festival. Honestly, it didn't sound like any fun at all...lots of mud, no food, no bathrooms, no parking, no place to sleep and the largest traffic jam that's ever occurred.
